ABC Art Awards ABC Art Awards

The Jury of ABC Art Awards, formed by Lynne Cooke, Óscar Alonso Molina, Antonio Franco, Agustín Pérez Rubio, Inmaculada Corcho, Javier Díaz Guardiola and Laura Revuelta, has acknowledged María Castelló Solbes the second prize for her work "It had become a different place anyway". The work will be shown at Arco International Art Fair in Madrid. The first prize went to Juan López Díez and the third and fourth positions were for Albert Corbí Llorens and Fermín Jiménez Landa.

Halfhouse Art Space opens its doors with Short Time, a selection of video works by David Bestué, Luis Bisbe, Black Tulip, Toni Crabb, Juande Jarillo, Jesús Palomino, Alberto Peral, Ivan Perez, Gabriel Pericás, Sebas Roselló, Jorge Satorre, María Castelló Solbes, Dani Steegmann, Bruno Vianna and Weare QQ. The opening starts at 20:00 h. and will also count with an intervention by artist Renata Lucas, the presentation of a Peter Mcmorris and Sean Gaffey’s video work and a live connection with Cinthia Mendoça.

The Karl Hofer Gesellschaft and AVAM present „De lugares inciertos - Von ungewissen Orten“. The exhibition shows work by María Castelló Solbes and Andrés Senra, developed during their residence at the Karl Hofer Gesellschaft Studios in september and october 2009. Visitors will also have the chance to see the work of the other artists that regullary work in these studios: Kaya Behkalam, Peter Dobroschke, Simon Menner, Vladimir Mitrev, Achim Riethmann, Maya Schweizer and Yukiko Terada among others. The opening takes place October 25 at 15 h.
